Emphasizing the elevation in the landscape by creating a long slim retaining wall with a sequence of overhanging balconies and the swimming pool positioned as a free-standing unit. And at the same time, the existing elements, like the rock surface and big
cedar trees, are framed, capturing the identity of the underlying landscape. Simplicity in a composition of lines defines the front yard.
