This lighting fixture was developed for a specific project in the Vancouver area. Instead of having a selection of elements that stand out, we wanted to design an element that emerges from its surroundings and arises from the surface on which it stands.
That way, it does not interfere with the composition of the landscape design but becomes part of it. The result is a subtle, calm and refined experience.
In this case, we used a granite gravel, the same material used on the patios, paths and driveway.
The aim is to go local and use the ground material that fits the geology of the place, anchoring the desing in its surroundings.
By working with this concept, we can use a wide range of materials. Preferable local materials.
